7BudgetNotebooks_shThe question we're most frequently asked is, "What notebook should I buy? I don't want to spend much money. I just need to check my e-mail, surf the Internet, and use Word." Well, we can do better than that. Four of the systems tested, from Acer, Gateway, HP, and Toshiba display what was the pinnacle of computing power not too long ago. Each company put their best foot forward in providing the most bang for your buck. We also reviewed two sub-$600 systems to show what you get when you go even lower. No one has to know you got your system for a steal, and we won't tell a soul.
