One morning in May 2007, a button labeled Street View appeared next to the Satellite and Hybrid buttons on Google Maps, changing forever the way people see maps on their computers. The street-level view displays 360-degree images of locations (provided by cameras mounted to moving vehicles), and you can pan, rotate, and zoom with ease, allowing you to pick out that restaurant, landmark, or shop you’re looking for much more efficiently.
