It's no secret that the iPhone is a hit, with more than one million units sold since its launch on June 29th. And it's poised to get even bigger with the recent price drop for the 8GB model from $599 to $399. But does Apple, the new kid on the cellular block, have enough clout to influence veteran handset makers? We checked in with Helio, Motorola, Nokia, and Samsung to get their opinions on the three-month-old iPhone. Our panel includes JW Kim, senior director, product planning and management at Helio; Rob Shaddock, corporate vice president, feature and mass market phones, Motorola Mobile Devices; Bill Plummer, vice president of sales, multimedia and content at Nokia; and Muzib Khan, vice president of product management and engineering at Samsung.
