TomTom Map Share: Mobile Innovation Award Winner 2007

What does social networking have to do with GPS? TomTom answers that question with its Map Share technology, available on the Go and One lines of the company’s navigators. For the first time, GPS users can edit maps right on the device when they notice major changes--like new streets, roads closed indefinitely due to construction, or new points of interest--and share those changes with others via TomTom Home, the service’s online portal.
