CTIA News: Motion Computing Launches the LE1700WT

Today, Motion Computing unveiled the Motion LE1700WT, the company's flagship slate-Tablet PC. Loaded with features, the LE1700WT will be an attractive option for mobile professionals, who demand computing power on the go and prefer the Tablet interface.
 
The LE1700WT breaks ground by being the first slate Tablet to pack a 1.5-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Other components and features include up to 4GB of RAM, a choice of 30GB or 60GB hard drives, a biometric fingerprint reader, TPM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity (EV-DO Rev. A, HSDPA), and a choice of either Vista Business or XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. The machine features an exclusive Motion WriteTouch display, and is the first PC to feature automatic switching between digitizer and touch input. It's also the first slate Tablet with a 12.1-inch SXGA+ display. The LE1700WT comes with a standard battery that provides three hours of juice; an optional extended battery offers up to 7-hours of productivity.
 
The LE1700WT starts at a base price of $2,199. For those seeking a lower-cost alternative, the LE1700WT can be outfitted with an Intel Core Solo processor for $1,999.
