Chances are, you probably don't think too much about what would happen if you lost all the data on your computer. BeInSync, a company that provides a way for consumers and small businesses to back up their data, thinks it's worth more than a thought. Today the company announced BeInSync Pro Version 3.0., a software suite that includes file sync, instant file sharing, remote access via a Web interface, automatic online backup, and support for Microsoft Windows Vista.

BeInSync uses Amazon.com's Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) from Amazon Web Services to provide its users with up to 5GB of storage space. BeInSync Pro Version 3.0 provides more than just backup, though. Relying on patent-pending, secure peer-to-peer networking technology, users can create their own private data network that makes it easy to stay connected and always in sync with colleagues, friends, remote files, and computers. This technology eliminates the need to install a costly server, configure a complicated virtual private network (VPN), or another remote-access solution in order to get your data on the go.

In addition to the BeInSync Pro Version 3.0, the company is also distributing a free BeInSync 3.0 version for personal use that includes up to 1GB of storage capacity. BeInSync Pro Version 3.0 is now available for download at www.beinsync.com for $59.95 per year or $99.95 for two years, and now includes 5GB of online storage.  Existing users can upgrade to the 3.0 version free of charge.

Price: Free version available with 1GB of storage; 5GB storage available for $59.95 per year/$99.95 for two years
