Getting your personal and professional e-mail on your regular cell phone seems like a big undertaking, but the newly announced version of Consilient Push will make it easier. Today the push e-mail service announced some added features to its free e-mail service for regular mobile phones. A single application--downloaded from Consilient's Web site to a phone--can be used to access up to five mail accounts via mobile phone.
A number of new capabilities are available in version 4.2.0. To make the process of getting push e-mail on your phone easy, Consilient has improved download-client support and fixed problems with downloading clients on selected phones. The new service also helps users who attempt to download from desktops to phones and simplifies Windows Mobile provisioning. Exciting for current and new users is the addition of the end-user account-management console. Until now, managing e-mail accounts in the Consilient mobile application wasn't the easiest, but now users can easily add, edit, or delete e-mail accounts and device properties right from a personalized Web page. In addition, Consilient now offers e-mail notification ringtones and themes for e-mail clients. The new version also has improved support for large Gmail Inboxes.
Even better is that Consilient doesn't want you to pay for any of this. Although you'll need to pay for your carrier's data plan or Wi-Fi access on your mobile, the Consilient application and service are free if you're willing to see some built-in ads. If the ads aren't for you, you can pay $5.00 a month for the premium service.
Price: Standard Consilient Push: Free
Premium version of Consilient Push (ad free): $5.00
