Hot on the heels of Intel's announcement of a new 802.11n standard
Ubicom, a leading provider of communications and software solutions, announced that its SteamEngine technology has been chosen by SMC Networks to power its new high-performance Barricade N Wireless Broadband Router.
 
The SMC Barricade N Wireless Broadband Router complies with the new 802.11n Wi-Fi specification for greater speed, range, and bandwidth, and is backwards compatible with 802.11b/g. Ubicom's SteamEngine reduces lag and jitter and allows high-bandwidth applications to run simultaneously.
 
The SMC Barricade N Wireless Broadband Router is available now for $119.
