What's The Deal The Kimpton Hotel Group runs this hotel, spiffed up with a $30 million restoration in 1999. You're in the Reliance Building, one of the first skyscrapers ever built. This boutique hotel is an architectural treat, with terrazzo tile floors, marble wainscoting, and mahogany throughout. Rooms are comfortable and clubby.
Why We Chose It It features mahogany writing desks and a great location. It's across from Marshall Field's and one block south of the North Loop theater district.
Location On the corner of State and Washington Streets in the city's well-known central business district, the Loop.
