Iomega ScreenPlay 60GB Portable Media Player

Iomega’s entertainment-focused ScreenPlay is a 60GB external hard drive that plays music (MP3 and AC3), video (MPEG-1/2/4 and XviD), and displays photos on your TV through composite, S-Video, and RCA audio. It also doubles as a backup drive. Its built-in menus and top-side controls are intuitive, and the device doesn’t force you to organize your media in any specific way. We clocked throughput at 11.05 Mbps, which is decent, and even full-screen XviD movies looked solid. The bad news is that there is no support for Windows Media or DivX, headphone output (nevermind 5.1), or TIFF photos. We also experienced some stability issues with our unit, which connects via USB 2.0.
