At a featherweight .7 ounces, this is one of the lightest and most comfortable Bluetooth headsets available. You'll hardly feel like there's anything hanging off your head. The hinged clip slips easily over the ear, placing the 2.5-inch-long blue-and-silver surfboard-shaped earpiece comfortably over the ear.

However, we were afraid that we'd break the clip when we attempted to unsnap, flip, and re-snap it for use on the left ear. The large control button in the middle of the headset was easy to manipulate by feel-only a touch activated voice-dialing-as were the side-mounted volume controls, although each of these is indicated by an up arrow, which we found a bit confusing.

Motorola advertises that the headset has a light indicator that makes it easy for others to see when it's in use, but there is little difference between the headset-on indicator and the in-use indicator.

Sound was generally loud and clear, without much interference, but there was some occasional scratchiness along with a strange background hiss. Lowering the volume helped reduce the hiss, but also lowered the voice volume. A single charge yields 6 hours of talk time but only 4 days of standby.

If you're willing to give up a little sound quality for something you almost forget you're wearing, the HS820 is worth the extra 10 bucks over the Logitech.
