by Jamie Lendino The ClearSky's installation process is a pain. You have to do a number of things in order—charge the phone via USB; install Skype software (if you haven't already), load the Bluetooth driver, and then pair the adapter with the handset. If you can get all of that straight, you'll enjoy crisp, clear calls, with better voice quality than the Linksys CIT200.
The ClearSky leaves a lot to be desired on the front panel. It's very slow to respond, often taking a second or more to register each key press, which is maddening when dialing SkypeOut calls. Its monochrome display, green backlight, and cheap blue plastic won't win any design awards. The device is significantly lighter than the Linksys CIT200, but that model has a contoured design which is more comfortable to hold.
We have mixed feelings about the ClearSky. We liked its sound quality and good range, but were frustrated with its homely styling, complicated installation, and sluggish user interface. However, it's a decent choice if you want to make cordless Skype calls on the go. Compare Prices | TRENDnet ClearSky Specifications Featured Site Sponsors
