Here’s everything we loved and hated from the long list of video game summer presentations, from Summer Game Fest 2021 to E3 2021.

Let’s be honest, this year has been exceptionally crap, but the comfort that video games have provided has done wonders on our mental health. This is Laptop Mag’s Games of the Year list for 2020.

Asus has finally risen to the top to claim the crown. After years of pushing innovative and risky features packed in the most glorious designs we’ve seen, it all finally paid off.

Dell’s innovation and diverse product offerings launched it into its second-place ranking but mixed performance on this year’s tech support report held it back.

The winner of our 2019 report, HP dropped a few spots this year after disappointing in our Tech Support Showdown.

MSI not only dug itself out of the double digits this year but it fully propelled itself into the top five best laptop brands.

Acer proved itself as a giant slayer this year, pummeled some top-dollar workstations in overall performance thanks to powerful specs. However, the company couldn’t escape the sixth place spot.

Lenovo maintained its 5th place spot this year thanks to a wide selection of options and a handful of reliable products - most notably its ThinkPad line of laptops.

Samsung has sprung up after an incredible comeback, going from last place in 2019’s Best and Worst Brands faceoff to 8th place this year.

Apple was our third-worst brand in our 2019 Best and Worst report, and this year, the Cupertino-based tech giant is our second-worst brand after Microsoft.

Alienware’s sophomore showing in Best and Worst Brands sees it drop from fourth place into an 8th place tie.

Finishing in last place, Microsoft had a quiet year when you separate the products it released from those it announced.

The Flexispot Electric Height Adjustable Standing Desk takes a dead-simple form factor and combines it with rock-solid functionality.

These are the games we’re most excited to play on PS5 and Xbox Series X
