Best gaming deals in April 2025: Save big on laptops, handhelds, and games

Best gaming deals Man holding Razer V3 Pro controller

I don't know a single gamer who doesn't love to take part in the best gaming deals, and with spring finally here, it's a shockingly good time to shop. Sure, some people will be taking advantage of the nicer weather and leaving their gaming rigs alone for now, but that just makes it easier to spot a good discount.

If you ask me, going outside is mighty overrated. I'd much rather stay in, grab my gaming laptop (like the HP Victus 15, now $479 at Best Buy, down from $849), and play some of my favorite games.

Besides, it's not even like it's a this or that type of decision. You can game while outside if you pick up a gaming handheld. The MSI Claw is now just $459 on Amazon, down from $699, and it gives you access to your entire game library while you partake in the great outdoors, which I count as a win all around.

Let's circle back to laptops for a bit, because now's actually a really good time to buy one. Nvidia has released new graphics cards, and those laptops are just now starting to roll out.

Still, those of us hunting for discounts should steer clear of the RTX 50-series. Instead, you can get a great gaming laptop with a slightly older GPU at a lower price. Take this gaming laptop deal as an example of that -- the Lenovo LOQ RTX 4070 is now just $899 at Walmart.

Even if you're all sorted on the laptop front, peripherals are a must. This Microsoft Xbox wireless controller is now just $45 on Amazon; a sweet discount from the initial $65 price tag. This is one piece of tech I can personally swear by. I've been abusing that poor controller for months with no issues.

Below, I'll walk you through all of the best gaming deals in April 2025, including laptop deals, but also discounts on the Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, VR headsets, and handhelds.
