There wasn't a chance that people were going to let Apple dominate all the headlines today. We are always keeping tabs on what Steve Smith aka the Zune Tattoo Guy is up to and there was no better time to follow up with him than on the day of breaking Zune news. Is there anyone special that you might give a Red Zune to this Valentine’s Day? Steve Smith: No, there is no one special in my life right now. But I might be my own Valentine and get myself a red Zune. My 30GB Red Zune was stolen. You can personalize the Zunes with more writing and images. What are you going to write on yours? SS: I personally dig the "Share the Love" image and will most likely get that one. How goes it with the tattoos? SS: Hopefully by February I will have the following done: Hello from Seattle, a Zune Arts creature, You Make It You, and the Apple Logo. That is going to hurt! Do you have a high threshold for pain? Well two of them are only text so they won't hurt that bad. But the Zune Arts design and the Apple logo might. But it doesn't matter. When you are as dedicated to a cause as I am it doesn't hurt half as bad as it should. In case you didn't already know the owner of ZuneMAX.com and I are currently running a contest for someone to redesign the ZuneMax logo with a Zune Arts look. The winning entry will be tattooed on me. You might be aware that today is MacWorld and Apple is planning to make some big announcements. Are you going to follow the news? SS: I do like to keep up on the competition but I will read about Macworld when I get home. At this point Apple would have to pull a magic trick out of their butt to not look stale or like yesterday's news to the new Zunes.
